About "Pizza Invaders"

Help our chefs feed the starving aliens! You play as one of the "Pazza" pizzeria chefs in space. Your goal is to shoot all the alien client with your little pizza warrior sidekick, supplying them pizza or a punch, that depends on them...

Instructions:

• Move around using the arrows keys.
• shoot using a shooting key of your choice. [space] is the default.
• During the game, you can press [esc] to pause it.
• Navigate between Main Menu, Signup, Login and About screens using the buttons above.
• Notice: you must login to play. If you don't have a user in the game, you can create one by signing up.
• After logging in, you can choose a character to and the game duration.
• You can see how much time and lives are left in the top corner during the game.
• After 3 strikes- the aliens take over "Pazza"! Beware...
• For 4 times, every 5 seconds, the aliens will get a little bit faster.
• After the game finishes you can see your high scores and start a new game.
• If you start a new game in the middle of one, your score won't be saved.
• Make sure to unmute your computer! The sounds are part of the experience.

Development:

The game was developed using HTML5, CSS, Java Script, jQuery Plugin and Canvas. We designed all visual elements, such as the characters and logos, with "Midjourney" v5. The challanging parts were mostly in the beginning. It was hard deciding where to start. This technology is new to us and learning it for a relativly big project was both interesting and hard. Debugging the program was difficult too, considering it's a whole new world for us. It was challenging handling real-time events and understanding why they occurred. However, the development was a blast!
